Remicade, known generically as infliximab, is a biologic medication used to treat a variety of autoimmune diseases, primarily those affecting the gastrointestinal tract and joints.

The active ingredient in Remicade, infliximab, is a monoclonal antibody that targets and neutralizes a protein called tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha).
